MidNite Solar MNEPV Circuit Breakers 150VDC 1-Pole

MidNite's breakers are rated to break the full rated load at the rated voltage repeatedly, with NO DAMAGE. Always use a properly sized breaker for disconnecting. All MidNite circuit breakers can be used at 100% rated current when mounted in a MidNite enclosure.

MNEPV breakers are the same as CBI QY breakers except the standard used is inadequate for the solar industry. MidNite breakers have been evaluated by ETL to 150VDC and are listed for US and Canada. All of the NRTL listings still apply. Breakers ordered under the CBI part numbering system will not be listed for 150VDC and in many cases are not suitable for the solar industry.

The ++ at the bottom of the circuit breaker points to the highest current source. The -- at the top of the circuit breaker points to the lowest source.

• Are the MNEPV circuit breakers bidirectional circuit breakers?
  No, they are not bidirectional circuit breakers. They are omnidirectional circuit breakers.
• Can I use the MidNite Solar MNEPV Circuit Breakers 150VDC 1-Pole in a positive grounded system?
  No, this circuit breaker is used in a negative or floating grounded system. For positive grounded systems, instead you may want to consider the MidNite Solar MNEPV Circuit Breaker 300VDC 2-Pole.
• Why does this circuit breaker say "Max Volts 125V," but the front of the breaker says 150VDC?
  CBI Electric is the manufacturer for MidNite Solar's MNEPV circuit breakers and they are normally rated to 125V, however, because the MNEPV circuit breakers are built to MidNite Solar's specifications, MidNite Solar rates the MNEPV 1P breaker to 150VDC when used in a MidNite Solar combiner, MidNite Solar E-Panels, or the MidNite Solar MNBIGBABY Enclosure.
• Does polarized mean the ++ is positive and the other side is negative?
  No, polarized does not mean the ++ is positive and the -- is negative. Polarized means, the ++ at the bottom of the circuit breaker points to the highest current source. The -- at the top of the circuit breaker points to the lowest source. If the circuit breaker were non-polarized, it would not matter which side you connect the highest or lowest current source to.
