Can I use a MidNite Solar MNEAC AC circuit breakers on the DC side between my solar array and the charge controller?

No, because it may destroy the MNEAC circuit breaker. Instead, use MidNite Solar's MNEPV DC circuit breakers on the DC side which would be between:
- The solar array and the charge controller (the amperage determined by the solar panel's short circuit current x 1.25 which is typically the smaller MNEPV breakers in 150VDC or 300VDC)
- The charge controller and the battery bank (the amperage determined by the charge controller's amperage and which is typically the larger MNEDC breakers)
The MNEPV DC breakers have a chute that extinguishes the DC arc that the MNEAC breakers do not have built in. You would use the MNEAC circuit breakers on the AC side which is between the inverter and the electrical panel.
